A guide for your Carefree care search
Ask for the bill after the headline
A medicine price is not a total care price. Ask for the full amount and what it includes.
Ask which kind of price it is
Prices checked September 26, 2026, differed for people paying without insurance, using insurance or using a discount offer. A drug company’s published price is another figure.
For a useful comparison, ask for the same medicine, the same kind of product and the same period. Then ask for the total visit and medicine bill.
The starting price ends after two fills
Self-pay means paying without insurance. A fill is the medicine supplied for a prescription.
Here, a pen is a small device for giving medicine by injection.
The government page’s September 26, 2026 listing gave a monthly price of $199 for semaglutide (Ozempic pen) during the first two fills.
Strength tells you how much of the working ingredient the product contains.
The starting offer covered US residents aged 18 or older who were new to self-pay. Only two strengths were included: 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg.
After those first two fills, each month cost $349 for any of these strengths: 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg and 1 mg. It was $499 per month for 2 mg.
December 31, 2026 was the end date for the introductory terms.
For insured people, this cost could neither be repaid by the plan nor counted toward the deductible. A deductible is the amount paid before insurance starts helping.
These are medicine-offer figures, not a quoted total from a Carefree clinic. Ask what applies to your prescription.
List every separate charge
Does the quote include the first visit, medicine, delivery, tests and return visits? Does a membership cover the medicine or only the visits?
Ask how much the visit costs when no medicine is prescribed. Ask how cancellation works before agreeing to ongoing payments.
Compare the continuing bill
Write down the introductory amount and the continuing amount in separate places. Ask how long the offer lasts and what happens after it ends.
A question to keep
Saving keeps your questions on this phone or computer, in the app used to open this guide. Return with that same app to find them. The notebook sends nothing.
