A guide for your Carefree care search

Bring the question you actually need answered

You can prepare for a conversation without choosing a medicine in advance.

Start with the concern

Describe your reason for coming here using your own words. Include the change you hope to see. Keep the advert or medicine name as a question, not a decision.

Bring a clear medicines list

Make a list of the medicines and supplements you want to discuss. Ask the person treating you how the proposed care fits with the rest of your care.

Ask what a test would answer

Medical-board guidance says the person prescribing must get the tests needed for a proper assessment. They can do the test, arrange it elsewhere, or make a referral to someone able to carry it out.

Ask which results are needed before a treatment decision and when you will discuss them.

Ask what the result would change. Also ask where the test happens and how its cost is quoted.

Ask how the decision is made

Guidance adopted in May 2026 says choosing treatment from a menu alone falls short of basic care standards.

The Federation of State Medical Boards issued that guidance; it does not replace Arizona law.

Ask what other options were considered and why this one was proposed.
